Eating pork isn’t 100% my thing these days, but that doesn’t mean I don’t support local businesses who make some of the best sausage and brats around — cue The Gilded Swine. They make some incredible food and are also celebrating one year of having their traveling food cart here in Lincoln!
I met the husband and wife team who run The Gilded Swine at an event they were catering. They were so kind and I could tell right away they were super passionate about food and their business.
Trevor is a big fan of sausage, brats and pork in general, so I thought he’d be a perfect subject to give The Gilded Swine a try (even though I knew they’d be incredible). They were having a stand at the Old Cheney Farmer’s Market, which is right down the road from Trev and I’s house, so we went and Trev gave them a try.
He went for the Sol, which is a seasoned brat with green chili sauce, jalapenos and queso fresco. Anything with a Mexican style twist, I’m into and Trevor is the same. He said it was definitely one of the best brats he’s ever had.
Whether you’re just looking for your next meal or need a wedding, family picnic or party catered, The Gilded Swine is the way to go if you’re craving some awesome brats.
